SHAPE Architecture worked closely with City of Burnaby Staff and Stakeholders to integrate new specialized Recreation and Music program spaces into 1000 square metres of vacant space within the existing facility. The new program has been strategically organized to allow for clear unobstructed view into all new spaces to effectively put the arts and recreation on display to the public.
In addition to the two new high performance music practice rooms, a new dedicated spinning room and flexible multi-purpose / ballet room have been introduced to host a variety of community events and programs.
