SHAPE Architecture worked with the BCIT Student Association Executive Staff to re-imagine a new workspace environment which placed social interaction and collaborative spaces at the heart of the design. The design concept arranges all individual and group work spaces around a two centralized flexible meeting rooms and adjoining lounge spaces.
In addition to dedicated offices for executive staff, the new office plan creates flexible work / lounge spaces for the elected student body as well as new shared office space for marketing and accounting. SHAPE Architecture focused on the design of open space and circulation to maximize daylight to internal spaces, promote interaction at the centre of the office and most importantly create a vibrant workplace which is active around the entirety of its edges.
